Photovoltaic Energy

The energy produced by photovoltaic modules is the most promising source of renewable energy, with a proven technological maturation level. Among other advantages, especially for low or reduced maintenance and high service life of the modules going up to 25 years. Photovoltaic technology converts sunlight into electricity, a process that involves the transfer of photons from solar radiation to the electrons of photovoltaic cells, producing electricity.

 

Requirements:
- Install a solar water heating system, to prove the efficiency of the house. (minimum -2 square meter module).
- Area 26 to 30 square metters facing south for installation of the modules

Return on investment:
A system with a power of 3.68 kW, in place of good sun exposure in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, produces the energy average: 3.68 kW x 5 hours = 17.25 kWh per day. For years, it is produced, then: 365 x 17.25 = 6269.25 kWh kWh x € 0.3260(current rate of sale to the grid) = 2040 EUR / year. The return on investment is about 6 years. (this calculation is estimated to places with lots of sun exposure without shaders).The photovoltaic modules have a lifespan of 20 to 25 years, so after the amortization ofthe investment system will continue to produce energy for many years.

Advantages:
- Null investment in case of an appeal to the bank, where the equipment pays for itself with the monthly production.
- In the case of investment capital, the return is about 13% per year
- Exclusion of tax on income from the IRS microgeneration up to 5000 EUR / year.
